Overview

This specialised course amalgamates the essentials of first aid for remote or isolated sites (HLTAID013) with advanced resuscitation and oxygen therapy techniques (HLTAID015). It's designed for individuals who require a broad skill set to address emergencies in diverse and challenging environments.

Key Components of the Course:
Remote First Aid (HLTAID013): This segment focuses on preparing participants to manage first aid situations in remote or isolated areas effectively. It covers evaluating and responding to various emergencies, understanding the limitations of remote settings, and utilising specialised equipment and techniques for extended care when medical assistance is delayed.
Advanced Resuscitation and Oxygen Therapy (HLTAID015): This part of the course delves into advanced resuscitation methods, including the use of oxygen therapy and resuscitation equipment. Participants will learn to assess the need for oxygen therapy, operate oxygen delivery devices, and manage complex resuscitation scenarios using advanced techniques.

Training Methodology:
The course will utilise Real Response's signature simulation-based training, employing realistic scenarios to mimic the challenges faced in remote environments and during advanced resuscitation situations. This method enhances practical skills, decision-making abilities, and readiness to handle real-life emergencies.

Who Should Attend:
This course is particularly suitable for individuals who might find themselves in remote locations or are responsible for emergency response in such settings, including outdoor adventurers, remote workers, and community health personnel. It's also ideal for those looking to enhance their first aid skills with advanced resuscitation and oxygen therapy techniques.
